The Green Wave is a touching documentary-collage that illustrates the dramatic events and feelings of the people behind Iran's 2009 Green Revolution. It shows their initial hope and curiosity, their desperate fear, and their courage. Cell phone images show the "Where is my vote?" protests again and again worn down and broken up with brutal attacks by government militia. Animated "motion comic" storylines frame deeply affecting pictures of the revolution and interviews with prominent human rights campaigners and exiled Iranians. The Green Wave is a contemporary chronicle and memorial for all those Iranians who lost their lives believing in freedom.
