  Lesson Plan

David Jeffrey, Philip Carr Neel, US, 2010, 75 min

http://www.lessonplanmovie.com/

In spring 1967, in Palo Alto, California, history teacher Ron Jones conducted an experiment with his class of 15-year-olds to understand how Germans could become Nazis. In a matter of days the experiment began to spiral out of control. Ordinary students became aggressive zealots, bodyguards and informers. The one sophomore who refused to join was banished and shunned. In this jaw-dropping film, the now 50-year-old participants talk about the details of the experiment, one of the most amazing learning experiences in their lives.
