This "short" is a continuation of the film Talk Mogadishu, a Judy Jackson film recounting the story of several Somali Canadians and their starting a community radio station, Horn Afrik, in Mogadishu. The filmmaker is Sahal Abdulle, a Somalia Reuters correspondent who was present in a car when it exploded in August, 2007, killing one of the subjects of Talk Mogadishu, Horn Afrik Chairman, Ali Iman Sharke. This is the gritty story of the importance of independent media, especially in war zones, told by a man with firsthand knowledge of its violent repression.
