In 1988, filmmaker Kevin Tomlinson was on a road trip, saw a funky sign “Healing Gathering” and decided to turn right. He filmed more than 400 people dancing, singing and cooking up lots of brown rice. His footage sat on the shelf for more than 20 years. After tracking down many of the original interview subjects, Kevin discovered them no less impassioned. Not only is this their story, but ours too, because the counterculture of the sixties affected us all and preceded our ideas about the alternative green movement, which now seems wiser than ever.
