The legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt remains one of the great Jazzmen to emerge from Europe in the 20th century. Django recorded hundreds of memorable tracks during his lifetime and played with the likes of Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Coleman Hawkins.  In occupied Paris (1943), Django is at the pinnacle of his career. The King of Ethereal swing is playing to standing-room-only crowds in the best venues Paris has to offer. Meanwhile his gypsy brethren are being persecuted throughout Europe. His life takes a dramatic turn when the Nazis want to send him on tour in Germany....
