This stunning documentary brings a remarkable story to life using dramatic recreations, family photographs, a gorgeously orchestrated soundtrack, and interviews with the people who knew and loved Hana. The tale begins when Fumiko Ishioka, the director of the Tokyo Holocaust Centre receives Hana’s suitcase from the Auschwitz Museum and begins a project with Japanese schoolchildren to encourage a fuller and more personal understanding of "what can happen if people hate each other." Very few films, about the Holocaust have the grace and power of this one. It is exceptional in its craftsmanship and beauty.
