An impressive documentary charting the plight of millions of North Koreans subject to the totalitarian regime of Kim Jong Il. Their story is told by those who have managed to escape. We see the grinding poverty, the enforced “worship” of the Glorius Leader, literally awesome but frightening mass jamborees with their dance and display. Under the loving ministration of the Kims (father and son) North Korea has degenerated into a circus of horrors and yet citizens still hold out hope for a better future.
