The Meaning of Life takes us into an innovative program for rehabilitating prisoners, a collaboration between the Chehalis Nation and Correctional Service of Canada. We hear from many voices that have never been heard; people who have lived in the deep silences of their souls. Filmed over two years, the film exposes a different way to look at the concepts underlying punishment and rehabilitation and proposes that by including the community in the process, the current prison system can be significantly changed.
